Vacations are a very large
part of what I do. Most of my clients prefer to have their pets stay at home rather than boarding.
Here are the
most common reasons my clients choose to have me come to their home rather than board.
Their pets experience anxiety when boarded.
They may become depressed, sick, or refuse to eat.
Past negative experiences with boarding.
Overall health of the pet may require them to stay at home.
Clients enjoy the added one-on-one time their
pet will have when a sitter comes to their home.
They simply
can't stand the thought of those
concrete floors and metal cages.
Fear of their pet returning with an
illness.
...and much more.

VACATION F.A.Q.
Q. How many times a day should I have
you visit?
A. I require at least three visits a day for dogs when a client has an extended leave. Three
visits a day makes sure your dog gets a potty break and interaction at least once every eight hours.
I am perfectly
willing to share the duties with a trusted friend or neighbor to help with your cost. I only ask that we have eachother's
contact info to keep in touch while you are gone.
Cats must be visited at least once every other day although many
clients choose one or two visits a day to maintain their cat's routine while they are gone.
Q.
I like the idea of having someone come to my home much better than boarding. How can I keep the costs down?
A.
There are a few ways....
1. Having a trusted friend, family member, or neighbor agree to one visit a day will help.
Please read above for my conditions on this arrangement.
2. I offer discounts for vacations. When you book a vacation
you automatically receive 5% off your total invoice. In addition, pre-paying for your vacation in full will earn you a multi-visit
discount. This can range from an extra $5 off to $40 off in most cases.
3. Consider having your pet come to my
home. It is a nice middle ground between your home and boarding. Overall it saves you money and you will know your pet will
be getting much more attention. Please click the "overnight sitting" page for more info.
Q. Would you be willing to stay in my home while I am on vacation?
A. Sorry,
no. I do not stay in clients homes while they are away. Consider having your pet stay with me if you would like them to have
the extra companionship.
